Teaching

A passionate educator, Tetsuya has been a proud teacher in settings including his private studio, state and city youth orchestras, public and private schools and music schools.

​

Tetsuya has tutored for students with the Queensland Youth Orchestras and the Houston Youth Symphony (HYS). Tetsuya has also served as a competition judge for the Houston Virtuosi Competition, Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Art's (HSPVA) Concerto Competition, University of Houston's Concerto Competition, and the HYS Concerto Competition.

He has taught masterclasses at the Grieg Academy of Music (Bergen, Norway), Rice University's Shepherd School of Music (Houston, Texas), Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (Houston, Texas), Miami University (Ohio, USA) and the Queensland Conservatorium of Music Griffith University (Brisbane, Australia)
